Home is a 2009 French documentary film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet. Home was filmed in various stages due to the expanse of the areas portrayed. Taking over eighteen months to complete the film.

Planet Ocean by Yann Arthus-Bertrand & Michael | 1:29:00

This is the triple challenge of a new cinema adventure signed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and editor- in-chief Michael Pitiot, who brings with him the scientific missions of TARA, a unique pool of researchers, oceanographers and biologists from several countries. Thanks to its astonishing photography, the film takes us on a magnificent and unprecedented journey into the heart of the least known regions of our planet.

Photographer James Balog on Climate Change and 'Chasing Ice' -- In the new documentary "Chasing Ice," photographer James Balog attempts to capture how the world's glaciers are being affected by climate change. As the film debuts across the country, Balog discusses the project, and what needs to be done to save Earth's shrinking glaciers.

Shane Smith travels to Greenland with climate scientist Jason Box to investigate why the glaciers are melting, and how the resulting rise in sea level will devastate our world sooner than expected.

In the opening moments of Our Rising Oceans we learn that global catastrophe lies beneath the awe-inspiring pale blue skies and ghostly white icescapes of West Antarctica. The scientific data regarding the effects of climate change on the ongoing process of glacial melting is overwhelming. Yet according to the many subjects featured in the film, a staggering percentage of the public remains doubtful, and our politicians and other policy influencers remain hesitant to act due to ill-informed skepticism and corporate interests.

*Six degrees could change the world | NatGeo | 2012 | 1:36:06

As the volume of greenhouse gases increases yearly, scientists are warning that the global average temperature could increase by as much as 6 degrees Celsius over the next century, which would cause our world to change radically. This documentary joins British author Mark Lynas and climate experts as they take a look at what effect each rise of 1degreeC could have on the world.

The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert (Amazon)

Over the last half billion years there have been Five mass extinctions when the diversity of life on earth suddenly and dramatically contracted Scientists around the world are currently monitoring the sixth extinction predicted to be the most devastating extinction event since the asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs This time around the cataclysm is us In prose that is at once frank entertaining and deeply informed New Yorker writer Elizabeth Kolbert tells us why and how human beings have altered life on the planet in a way no species has before Interweaving research in half a dozen disciplines descriptions of the fascinating species that have already been lost and the history of extinction as a concept Kolbert provides a moving and comprehensive account of the disappearances occurring before our very eyes She shows that the sixth extinction is likely to be mankind s most lasting legacy compelling us to rethink the fundamental question of what it means to be human.

GeoEngineering

Dane Wigington: Climate Engineering Weather Warfare, and the Collapse of Civilization | GeoEngineeringWatch.org | 01/30/14 | 1:17:19

Climate engineering, commonly referred to as geoengineering, also known as climate intervention, is the deliberate and large-scale intervention in the Earth's climate system with the aim of affecting adverse global warming. Climate engineering is an umbrella term for measures that mainly fall into two categories: greenhouse gas removal and solar radiation management. Greenhouse gas removal approaches, of which carbon dioxide removal represents the most prominent subcategory addresses the cause of global warming by removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. Solar radiation management attempts to offset effects of greenhouse gases by causing the Earth to absorb less solar radiation.

What in the World Are They Spraying? | 1:37:45

Here is the story of a rapidly developing industry called Geo-engineering, driven by scientists, corporations, and governments intent on changing global climate, controlling the weather, and altering the chemical composition of soil and water - all supposedly for the betterment of mankind. Although officials insist that these programs are only in the discussion phase, evidence is abundant that they have been underway since about 1990 - and the effect has been devastating to crops, wildlife, and human health.

Why in the World are They Spraying? | 1:12:54

In recent years, people have become quite concerned about the geoengineered aerosols known as chemtrails, because of the toxic chemicals they contain, such as aluminum, barium, cadmium, 'chaff,' viruses and zinc. These aerosols, which take the form of smoky clouds, tend to disperse slowly rather than dissipating quickly, becoming wider and wider.
